Charter Cable/TV causes remote not to work?

if you are using a HDMI cable, the problem could be with the "Hand shake" between the two. try using component just to see if it fixes the issue. If the problem is with the TV power it most likely is the way some of the Phillips IR codes work, try the factory remote when the problem occurs this may help in tracking down the problem.
