Budget Hotel accommodations in mumbai?

I am planning to visit mumbai with my family (wife +2 daughters 13&18) in may end. Can any one guide me where to stay(with budget accommodations)& what & how to see mumbai comfortably.????Can we need a guide?? How we can visit film studio and see shootings possibly. Can We meet old or new film stars?? Is there any internal arrangement of Hotelier or Guides for it????
